Don't start with any of this "Happy Holidays" bullcrap. It's the Christmas season. It's "Merry Christmas." If that offends you, grow up.

@WalshFreedom @Csinaco Merry Christmas has always been a part of my vocabulary. Great time for family & friends. Why "change" that?

@etellurian Because not everyone is Xian. Not complicated. Say "Merry Christmas" to your Xian friends, and Happy Holidays if in doubt. Easy.

@dougom why would someone who's not Christian be offended by "Merry Christmas" are you offended by "Happy Hanukkah" @etellurian

      4. Douglas Moran‏ @dougom 21 Nov 2016

@mathewlenning @etellurian "Happy holidays" is welcoming & inclusive; "Merry Christmas" is not. Simple as that.

@dougom that's an opinion which you're allowed to have. Why do we have to follow your opinion? @etellurian

@dougom so you do think Merry Christmas is an insult @etellurian

@WalshFreedom @OldSchoolGray there are people that don't celebrate Christmas. Many celebrate Chanukah.

@LeslieDavieau good for them. Why can't those who do say Merry Christmas? @WalshFreedom @OldSchoolGray

@mathewlenning @OldSchoolGray Not the point. Some don't want to be wished Merry XMas bc they don't celebrate & want Chanukah acknowledged

      4. U.S. will not fall‏ @mathewlenning 21 Nov 2016

@LeslieDavieau no that is the point. Those who want Chanukah acknowledge can say Merry Chanukah right? @OldSchoolGray

@LeslieDavieau why can't we all agree not to be offended and instead translate it into whatever faith we follow? @OldSchoolGray

      6. U.S. will not fall‏ @mathewlenning 21 Nov 2016

@LeslieDavieau think of it like this. If someone says something to offend you then being offended is giving them what they want

      7. U.S. will not fall‏ @mathewlenning 21 Nov 2016

@LeslieDavieau on the other hand if someone says something without the intent to offend you, then being offended is a choice.

      8. U.S. will not fall‏ @mathewlenning 21 Nov 2016

@LeslieDavieau either way being offended is a losing proposition. Either you give them what they want or you look petty
