I'm sympathetic to that, but the net result is a huge net benefit to America. We are going to fall behind everyone if we don't encourage education, it's not affordable anymore. Only creates more class divide

THIS. The net result helps everyone. All these people who suddenly don't have debt will spend their money and juice the economy. It is a very efficient way to increase consumer activity.

As someone who worked 70+ hours a week and sacrificed my 20’s and into my 30’s, I’m glad not to stand on the necks of those after me to expect the same. Older GenXers and my parents Boomer generation got out of college debt free or nearly debt free, and never went through that

Agreed. Trump & GOP are scare mongering with "socialism" screeches. Look to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland etc. to see how democratic socialism works, i.e. entrepreneurship co-exists with high quality social programs. Yes taxes are higher but no one goes broke for health or ed.

Well lots of people got polio before vaccinations. It would be unfair to vaccinate myself and avoid polio.

We should also start up a campaign to vaccinate those who died of polio in the past, just so it's fair to them, too.

This right wing idea that I should be mad, jealous or angry at someone b/c they get helped out on something that I did not get help with is so stupid & destructive. If someone else had their debt erased so they could have a better life, that is great. Ultimately it helps everyone
