Joe, c'mon. Just because someone is liberal does not mean they don't believe in freedom. Stepping away from crazy generalizations like this could help to cool the public discourse FAR more than running against Trump will.

Democrats want freedom. Implying that they don't is wrong. Also, Democrats don't want government all in their lives as well, I just think Democrats and conservatives have a difference of opinion about how much government should act in people's lives.

I think we also differ in our beliefs in so far as our obligation to fellow citizens. A dem: I’ll gladly subsidize medical care for another citizen. A repub: I got mine, screw you. Personal responsibility, Yada, yada..
