Tell me about this authoritarianism. What Constitutional statute has he violated? And tell me how a guaranteed jobs program or free, rather, me paying for someone else's college is Constitutional. I'll wait.

He withheld Congressionally appropriated funds to an ally in exchange for dirt on a political rival. If Congress passes a bill allowing for tax payer dollars to pay for someone’s college and a future President signs the bill, it becomes law.

Totally agree with this sentiment. A bad social policy can be changed if it goes wrong. An authoritarian government would be way worse to oust.

Not to mention how a lot promised policies can die in the house or senate. Look how long it took Obama to get Healthcare-for-All that was shredded and gutted before it was called Obamacare.

If we disagree with legislation, we can push back through legal process. None of the democrats are going to try implement free college at gunpoint. Those policies will succeed or fail on merits and costs. If we disagree with a dictator...well, we see the results in other places.

And that happens exactly never.
