The Republicans have never in my lifetime genuinely cared about a deficit on their own watch. It has *always* been an excuse to cut taxes on rich people and impose austerity on everyone else.

Guess I'll keep saying this and hope it sticks. It isn't about the debt or deficit. It's never ever been about the debt or deficit. It's always been about the right people making money. Tea Partiers were useful tools and now the job is done. You were useful and now you're not
