If he promised US government aid in exchange for Ukraine going after his political opponent, that would be an impeachable offense. Just add it to what is already a long list of impeachable offenses.

Trump is allowed one impeachable offense per day...sometimes two. Trump will say it was just a joke and it will soon be forgotten.

With Barr and Moscow Mitch defending him, there in no law that he is not above. By most definitions he is a tyrant. At the present, he has outmaneuvered all attempts to bring him to justice. It certainly doesn't feel like America or that he's upholding its Constitutional ideals.
