Don't want student loan debt? Don't take out student loans. No one forced you to take out the loan, it was your choice. And it's your responsibility to pay it off.https://twitter.com/ewarren/status/1120321864604237824 …

I’m calling for universal free college and the cancellation of student loan debt for more than 95% of Americans. This is the kind of big, structural change we need to make sure our kids have opportunity in this country. pic.twitter.com/KERw3APDMo

So no college for about 80% of the population then? Can you imagine?

Some students that went to for profit colleges were lied to about job prospects after completing programs. These students deserve a break. Obama worked to help those students. Betsy DeVos is stripping away those protections.

You're right, why try to better yourself? Why try to have a better life than your parents. Education is for suckers. Just stick to that minimum wage job at the fast food place or the local grocery store. You'll be fine! #FFS

https://www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/paying-for-college/articles/2017-09-20/see-20-years-of-tuition-growth-at-national-universities … TL;DR the cost of tuition over the last 20 years has gone up between 168 to 243% depending on where you go. This baby boomer mentality of "I paid my way through school on a part time job" has been dead on arrival for the last 2 decades.

Damn straight. The poor don’t deserve to be educated. Only people who were skilful and dedicated enough to be born to rich parents should get that privilege.

You assume my parents paid for my education? My parents were far from rich and paid nothing towards my education, but I still got through it with my own dedication and skills. Same for my wife, who is now getting her Masters... without parental help.
