These people demanding children go back to school are motivated by a lot of things—child safety isn’t one of them. Nor do they appear to care at all about medical personnel in this country who are already stretched thin. We’re in a pandemic. It’s time to grow up.

The primary reason political leaders want to get kids back to school is to get people back to work. Schools double as childcare. Let’s just be honest about that: it’s always been the economy over all.

Imagine the damage to a child's development if they themselves don't get very ill but they bring covid home from school and infect a loved one who ends up dead or with seriously long term impairment from it ravaging their lungs or other organs.

Sigh! I have had this conversation with parents of young elem, school aged children where i was wearing a mask and they weren’t. And I asked them what difference there was between wearing a mask for 2 hours vs wearing a mask for 8 hours. Wld not answer. or shd i say COULD not.
