Last night, to his credit @chrislhayes admitted he’s not convinced Sanders’ and Ocasio-Cortez’s platforms will work everywhere around the country.
This is a flaw in liberal thinking—this notion that some people are beyond help or cannot possibly recognize what’s good for them.

I’m not picking on
@chrislhayes—he’s consistently the best on MSNBC. But I do think liberals need to start considering the fact that the divide in this country is based on more than blind partisanship, ignorance, and prejudice.Mostra questa discussioneGrazie, ne terremo conto al fine di migliorare la tua cronologia. Her husband signed NAFTA. She backed called the TPP the "gold standard." She and the party leadership spent the primary focusing on other issues. She could talk until she was blue in the face about workers...

SHE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT HER HUSBAND DID WILBUR

https://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2015/04/21/401123124/a-timeline-of-hillary-clintons-evolution-on-trade … "As first lady, in 1996, Clinton trumpeted NAFTA as 'proving its worth.' Two years later, she went to Davos, Switzerland, where she spoke at the World Economic Forum and thanked businesses for lobbying for the agreement."
-
Your comment that i responded too was "Her husband passed nafta." You were using her husband's actions to criticize her. That was the plain language of ur comment, and what my comment was responding to. Quit changing goalposts. Disingenuous and dishonest.
-
No, I was alluding to her name association.
-
lol dont even know what the hell that means. doesn't change the fact that you blamed her for her husband's actions and when called on it you switched goalposts. And now ur gaslighting me. Really gross but i guess i shouldn't be surprised.
-
Sorry, no. Pointing out that she’s associated with NAFTA bc her name is Clinton (setting aside her defenses of it) is just stating a fact. No blame

Please allow me to add: AND the Democratic Party. Walker, doesn't seem to believe that we are informed voters and we do our research when choosing a candidate to support. Unlike the WWC, WE VOTE for our best interest and for the most qualified candidate. Our lives depend on it.
-
And I’ll add, there’s a certain level of inherent arrogance in saying someone who rejects Progressive bullshit just doesn’t know what’s good for them. We sure af know what’s good for us, and it ain’t forking over our paychecks so some privileged racists can have an easier life.
-
Right on. I don’t even think these guys see the flaws in their own thinking, and they’re always getting hung up on unimportant details of history to justify their inaccurate assessments. These ideas always seem to weirdly dovetail with the far right wing too...strange that.
-
Strange indeed. I think most are quite genuine, but have no idea how much of their mindset did not occur organically - the most logical amongst them will eventually come to see the reason they are so often accused of similarity is the same propagandists targeted both groups.

Exactly correct.

But the denialism is incredibly strong and will be hard to breakthrough

Trump's strongest constituency is upper middle class voters you imbecile.
-
You mean, the last of the middle class...
-
The vast majority of working class who didn't vote for Trump don't matter to you bc we're disproportionately not White. And you're a fascist sympathizer. Go read some Marx you half read simpleton.
-
You cannot separate economic anxiety and racial animus. They’re inextricably linked. There’s even a study showing that perceptions of economic scarcity cause people to see other people differently—as more foreign.
-
You cater to White working class racism instead of telling them to get over it & unite with non-Whites to fight capitalism. Too hard to tell your White neighbor that his xenophobia is how capitalists kick his ass?
