  8. Breaking: The Senate has voted to acquit President Donald Trump on the second article of impeachment, over obstruction of Congress, by a 47-53 vote. All senators voted along party lines. Trump will remain in office.

  9. Breaking: The Senate has voted to acquit President Donald Trump on the first article of impeachment, over abuse of power, by a 48-52 vote. (67 votes were needed to convict.) Republican Mitt Romney was the only senator to break with his party on the vote.
