BREAKING: The first effort to recall SFDA @chesaboudin has officially failed, claiming about 49K official signatures, SF elections officials said. They needed > 51K.
The second campaign has until Oct. 25 to collect signatures though, and is considered far formidable threat.

i have yet to see a reason why there had to be two efforts... is it
@richieSF2016 's personality?1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Because there was concern that the talking point that the effort was "republican led" would poison the effort. Which it did.

T Wolf is one of the biggest charlatans in the game, and I don't care what he identifies as. My point was that the money for recall #2 is all right wing and tech-libertarian sourced. It's not a grass roots campaign.

Man, I’m thankful someone else sees through that guy.

I don't get what there is to see through. Is the DSA really against drug treatment and not just letting people waste away on the streets? We have a public intoxication law on the books specifically designed to dry people out and get them help. Why not enforce it?

I don’t have anything to do with the DSA but I’ve been watching that guy’s story for a long time.

That guy was homeless for 3 months & went right back to his middle class life post-treatment. His experience is limited, yet he speaks as an authority & equates the experience of homelessness to his experience with addiction. Too many give him a platform at the expense of others.
