BREAKING: The first effort to recall SFDA @chesaboudin has officially failed, claiming about 49K official signatures, SF elections officials said. They needed > 51K.
The second campaign has until Oct. 25 to collect signatures though, and is considered far formidable threat.

Because there was concern that the talking point that the effort was "republican led" would poison the effort. Which it did.

T Wolf is one of the biggest charlatans in the game, and I don't care what he identifies as. My point was that the money for recall #2 is all right wing and tech-libertarian sourced. It's not a grass roots campaign.

Wasn't the protect Chesa campaign funded by Dustin Moskovitz & Cari Tuna? Or was it Reed Hastings and Patricia Quillin? Seems like there's plenty of dirty tech money funding Chesa too, but sure, yours is the righteous grass roots cause.

There's no dirty money defending Chesa. 7 people put half a million dollars behind recall #2. That's enough to hire a whole army of troll-bots to pretend to be deeply concerned citizens & sit on twitter putting out bad faith talking points and casting aspersions on Boudin.pic.twitter.com/Kd3Z98QUkU

Man you're telling me I could get money for writing shit about pols I don't like? Sign me up! As for the money, looks like the people they fund are pretty bipartisan - though coming from the DSA, I guess mainstream Democrats are also Republicans to you:https://www.sfgate.com/bay-area-politics/article/Chesa-Boudin-recall-funding-money-San-Francisco-16366712.php …

You don’t have to be socialist or in DSA to see that mainstream Dems and Republicans are both ruling class parties that are in bed together. Also, do play coy. No one buys that shit.
