Why can't anyone get the "Pravda" joke? Is history so underrated in the U.S.A. or what?

I get the joke and know what it means in Russian. I went on the assumption most did understand the name.

It doesn't seem like it. I bumped into a bunch of articles in the last few hours stating that @elonmusk is indeed one step from founding this new fact checking company, whilst it was only referring to URSS' Journal. I really hope I'm wrong.

He might do both - get the joke and do it. Who knows with him..

Pravda is a really unlikely name to give to your fact checking company. I might remind you how Pravda itself was hugely known as Soviet biased aiming to preserve URSS’ citizens faith in their leaders, hence I don’t think it would be a good move.

It actually a great idea again from @elonmusk. Journalists often are considered as a symbol of free speech, justice. But they can also be corrupted, become arrogant and often by their own perception of being the symbol.

Hey Elon, we already have a crowd sourced arbiter of quality. It's called common wisdom. We believe sources we think are the best. How would running our personal judgement through your algorithms change the quality of our assessments? Just wanna know.
