It takes time for someone to see their child as a monster. One day he will.

It must be horrible for him, don’t throw rocks like that, i can’t even imagine how guilty he feels. He’s not the one who asked his son to do it, he didn’t teach hi to do so. Maybe he could have done certain things differently, but to blame him, nah, he already is punished enough.
-
Wasn’t it the father’s gun he used? He absolutely deserves blame.
-
Yes it was. You don’t think the gun laws should be changed.I mean look at the ads, congressmen tell dads that they are good when giving their kids guns.Ipersonally know 2 boys who killed themselves with their dad’s gun, their fathers lost the most important things, it’s crushing.

You know what’s worse that being mistreated? Being murdered.

I know the Santa Fe shooter’s family is heartbroken too, but don’t say he was a good boy who’d been mistreated at school! A girl that he harassed & stalked put him in his place last week....he cowardly shot her dead on Friday. His Dad should be accountable bc his guns were used.

the availability of the guns killed those kids, not the bullying. His father and mother should be charged accordingly.
-
The availability of a weapon can’t be the cause of a crime- Or every weapon would have been used in a crime by now. There has to be a catalyst. Refusing to look for it and confront it will not solve the problem.
-
Gun owners have a responsibility to keep their guns safe and out of the hands of people with ill-intent.

Many of us have been mistreated at school...by teachers and other students...and things often didnt go our way...we dealt with disappointment...and moved on...its part of life. Not a justification to go on a killing spree

How does being lonely or bullied give notion of being justified to murder others? What gone so awry in our culture "people" considered no better than bug to be squashed? & society readily hands them means. Father shld be prosecuted for negligent homicide for guns being accessible

There is no excuse. Bullying is not an excuse. Murder is wrong.

What did they do to let the school know that he was having this problem prior to the shooting? If they would have secured their guns knowing about this we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I am sick of hearing what”good” kids do and how they are mistreated. I remember a lot of bullying from school, yet I know of none who killed people for the hell of it.
