Wells Fargo also wants to kill affordable housing by lobbying through the Urban Institute and MBA to gut Fannie and Freddie. Most corrupt bank ever!! #fanniegatepic.twitter.com/UUsiuLhfTS

If only there was some sort of regulating body that could enforce rules to prevent this kind of practice

Q: Why hasn't anyone been criminally charged, arrested, prosecuted, and imprisoned for financial fraud, identity theft, larceny, wire fraud, SOX violations? Asking for a friend.

Your question is best answered by the SEC/DOJ. As an audit partner signing public co. reports, I found the generalized inference that I would easily sell my professional integrity for a consulting dollar insulting - I still do.

Integrity and defending one's ethics is commendable and appreciated. However, nowhere was any assignment of culpability attributed to any other than those directly employed by Wells Fargo.

If Wells Fargo was a person, Wells Fargo would be going to jail for a long time. But since Wells Fargo is NOT a person Wells Fargo will pay a small fine and asked to not do it again, pretty please.

Wow, @WellsFargo is a criminal organization that should face some kind of penalty, oh wait, they did, and Trump admin just reduced it. Because they're also a criminal organization.https://twitter.com/WSJ/status/997106460059414528 …

How clearly does it have to be said? They are breaking the law. Again. Law breakers are also called CROOKS, are they not? So, magic Wells Fargo & their magical business practices of altering reality are once again (probably never stopped their nefarious ways)...crooks.

Why does this raise questions? The bank DOES NOT CHANGE! Wells Fargo is a bank of crime. It does not know how to do business in any other way. They only know how to cheat, take people’s money and homes, change masks and give a little to make themselves look good. Disgusting 😝

What seems most paradoxical, however, is that (assuming I have this right): (1) Wells Fargo is fined $1B for improper conduct but, alas, (2) the ACTUAL VICTIMS of said improper conduct receive NO SHARE of the $1B fine and, moreover, (3) HAVE NO LEGAL RECOURSE to SUE Wells Fargo
