This is a promoted tweet. They paid to get it in front of you. Sad state of American journalism when a respected institution will trade on its name to collect readers personal information (salary) under the guise of journalism.

This post requires you to click through with cookies/referrers enabled or even to sign in. Is it just me who sees this as them trying to collect people's salaries, and link it to them?

Education should be in there. They are paying adjuncts below poverty wages to teach future CEOs how to screw employees.

Thank for the continued work on visualizing data. Love it. Agree with others around public sector work being included --> teachers, parks and rec, transportation, etc.

Is this adjusted for cost of living index based on locale? $100k in LA isn’t the same as 100k in Omaha.

Netflix has a lot less employees, this is quite obvious

Work for a privacy and rights nightmare, or an entertainment company. What a pathetic choice. Talk about out of connection with the world.

Median pay is a useless stat because the exorbitant salaries CEOs make throw the whole thing off. Post workers pay only

Values should have been normalized over the average cost of living for the area of employment first. Making 200k a year in silicon valley is not equivalent to making 200k a year in Phoenix as the cost of living is much cheaper in Phoenix.
