There are more than 200,000 Teslas, most with Autopilot, making Tesla drivers—and anyone encountering them—guinea pigs in a massive road testhttps://on.wsj.com/2GazHjT

Given the fact far greater than 99% of all vehicular accidents are the result of human error, my money is on Tesla.

I’d honestly rather be in a Tesla, with one of the highest ever safety rating, than pretty much any other car. Also, consider the amount of accidents you *dont* hear about because autopilot took over in a time of human error.

Autopilot is not full autonomy, it is a driver's aid! RTFM! It's for helping a human driver, NOT for driving by itself. Would you set cruise control and not pay attention to the road, NO. Autopilot is no different, it just helps more than cruise. It's just a driver's aid!

People texting while driving cause accidents. We are all Guinea Pigs in this test as to whether people will use this tech appropriately.

You are an idiot, autopilot immediately reduced accidents by 40%. Learn to understand statistics before you write about them. But then again, that is probably why you became a journalist.
