A battle is brewing across the U.S. about whether felons should regain their right to votehttps://on.wsj.com/2KNbpjc

Gotta run a photo of a black man, and not, say, Tim Allen.

Of course they do. What more do you expect? This has always been the case for centuries & the @WSJ is no different. So tired of black men being used as props to sell a story.

They can't vote; but they can become Republican Congresspeople. Makes sense.

Exactly! The fear of giving black men their right to vote back means they will be Democrats and that's what they don't want.

It’s really astonishing. Convicted felons - eg Blankenship & Grimm - run for the Senate and House and others can’t even vote.

One set of rules for them & another for everyone else. Folks that think like that are slowly being extinct which is their fear to begin with. The world is changing and they want to stay back in slavery days.

I think that fear of extinction is how trump got elected. Make America White Again.

This is one of the things that make the US stand out as stupid and out of touch with other civil societies. Once a person has done his time why wouldn’t they be returned to society with equal privileges. Said as a dual Canadian/Australian 🇦🇺🇨🇦👍

No. No. And NO!! Voting is not a “Right”. It is a privilege granted to those who are law abiding citizens who wish to have a voice in our government. If you’re CONVICTED of a felony, you most certainly should lose your voting privileges.
