Yes, the deal wasn’t perfect, but it accomplished what it was supposed to do—prevent Iran to build a nuclear bomb. Having the United States pull out of this agreement will hurt us more than help us.

He is no longer a government employee. He is a private citizen. It is illegal for a private citizen to negotiate with foreign leaders. The same thing (Logan Act) that Flynn is being charged with. Doesn't matter he negotiated it. He's no longer a government employee.

Kerry is not part of the current administration which is why he has nothing he can negioate with now. Its a desperate stretch to get to a violation of the Logan Act. Key difference- Flynn offered (and delivered) favors to foreign governments.

The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States. Do you think he's meeting with them just to have tea?

The article says he is meeting with the head of the UN to stratigize on saving the Iran deal. What do you think he is offering them- free ketchup for life?

I don't think Gen. Powell could, or would, promise a lifetime supply of ketchup to the leades of the UN.
