WSJ, direly: "It’s Hard to Find God on the Front Page" b/c fewer religion reporters. Also fewer on environment, classical music, agriculture, etc., Why? Regional newspapers employ a fraction of staff from 15 yrs ago. Fiction: Journalism is devoid of believers. Simply not true.

Very true that for most publications a story on religion is yet another story on Pope Francis. Narrow focus does readers real disservice.

If you want good on the front page, move to Saudi Arabia. I hear ISIS also likes that sort of thing.

Yeah usually its more like pornstars, lies, adultery, bigotry, hate of immigrants in the name of GOD in the front page. When I went to sunday school they taught us different but you know...evangelicals these days. Not everything changes for the better.

It's easy to subscribe to the religious news of one's choice. Religious faith and its expression is intensely personal, not regional or national, so it doesn't belong on the front page. Weak piece - but my own fault for clicking WSJ "Opinion."
