I live in Northern CA and eat great BBQ, drink fantastic craft beer and love my local distilleries. Can we get over where the food/drink is actually produced and just enjoy?

No. We cannot. Enjoy whatever swill you wish. Just don’t call it bourbon.
-
Sooooooo, bourbon is not a question combination of ingredients and a process but a question of geography?
-
More geology than geography. We have the best water for the product. Widow Jane and most of the other "NY bourbons" are sourced from Kentucky, then proofed and bottled in New York.
-
Well. Scotch might be made other places than Scotland. But is it REALLY scotch then? How bout let’s call it something else. Get your own thing. Don’t you culturally appropriate my wood water!
-
Now that's the best argument you've offered in this conversation Zach. Good job.

Why do New Yorkers think whatever they do is just about to take over the country? Like that NY "BBQ"? Leave the boroughs people

We encourage a trip to the Commonwealth for some tastings.

At least this isn't a "creepy infiltration" of Christianity in the name of chicken sandwiches...

That’s a laughable excuse for bbq. KC can make better bbq in their sleep.
-
This is what bothers me about New York. Substandard attempt to imitate what others are known for, then they call themselves better at it.
