Is this even a real Good Samaritan act: donating “stolen” products and taking credit for it?
Well technically, hotel toiletries are a perk that you can use however you see fit, so it's not really stealing if you take it and give it to a shelter. However, it is cheeky to get mad when someone stops giving a perk that you don't need & just want to giveaway.
I guess he thinks he is Robin Hood.
"...about $2,000 a hotel a year." Seriously? "a"? When did we drop "per"? I'll be driving 50 miles a hour: (mah). My car gets 30 miles a gallon: (mag). Colloquially, maybe, but in writing? No.
Wall dispensers are a good sign of a cheap motel
@realDonaldTrump This is NOT a good idea. Dispensers can be manipulated and a health issue. NOTE TO HOTELS- continue individual shampoo etc. One use items are the way to STAY.
You know that they make ones that can only be opened with a special key. Also, does this concern you've raised mean that you bring your soap to public restrooms or dont wash your hands?
If only wall dispensers were regularly refilled
Hotels just shouldn't bother with anything other than bar soap. My travel bag has small bottles that I refill with my own products. They should just keep some on hand in case someone forgets a toiletry.
Don't worry. High end "luxury" hotels will still be wasteful.
It's just as well. You should bring your own anyway. Plus, to where do you think those small, empty plastic bottles go? Do we really need more #plasticwaste in our oceans & landfill?
This IS good news for the environment, but the impending death of another industry - the one that recycles those bottles, cleans the products (yes, really), and donates them to shelters. I hope progress finds another way to aid those most in need so everybody wins.
Did you seriously spend cpc money to get me to click an article about the end of tiny hotel shampoo bottles? How long have you been buying ad words against me for?
