The plan by Starbucks to shut its stores and train every employee to reduce bias could answer how well those programs work—if it’s done right.https://on.wsj.com/2r0OYy7

Is there anyone left in this #shitholeamerica who is arguing this country is not racist? I think by now it is well settled, with all the inclusive crap, nice words and all that progress BS, it’s just one heck of a racist place, no matter how “feel-good” delusion you sing all day.

I agree with u, to some extent. Ive experienced racism myself. Racism comes in all shapes & colors. Society tends to think, if ur white, uve never experienced racism but thats not true. Ive even been told, u dont know what poverty is cause ur white, as if all white ppl are rich.

it wont work, if anything it will cause resentment. This is something straight out of 1984. This racial stuff is like a chinese finger trap, you need to just let go and treat everyone equally and stop looking for shit to be mad about.

C’mon, “anti-bias training” is a Starbucks internal code for a PR disaster damage control plan. You know, like how all the celebrity sexual harassers going to a $50K sex rehab in Cali to talk to Dr. Drew, Dr. Phil or Dr. Pepper.

Although research from the UK most recent to show bias training effectiveness by no means certain, see https://www.equalityhumanrights.com/en/our-work/blogs/unconscious-bias-training-no-such-thing-quick-fix …

Training cops will not solve police shootings. Training citizens to respect police would work. Training employees will not work. Training customers to behave decently would.

This isn’t going to help. The only true way to get past racial tension is to just treat everyone equally and stop looking for any small reason to get upset.
