Interviews with current and former Starbucks managers and baristas suggest the company’s guidelines on how to treat lingering nonpaying customers are vague at best—if they exist at allhttps://on.wsj.com/2F7lrro

Nothing but a PR move. Anti-racism training is on-going and starts in the home of the alleged racists and the the targets of their racism. People hate each other for dozens of things well beyond race. The simplest rule is the Golden Rule but it's the hardest to learn.

I’m sure vague enough for them to call the cops on someone after 2 minutes of being their shop. 🙄

I’ve been told many x in less than 2 minutes, I must be a customer to use the restrooms and buy something or leave. They had the option but chose belligerence. It’s crap like this that loses people like me from being on your side. There are plenty of righteous battles to fight.

The patrons in question weren’t belligerent. In fact other patrons saw folly in the Statbuck’s employee’s actions. Personally, I have never been to a Starbucks & ever been asked to leave. Starbucks happens to be the place where people loiter as a rule.

Ok well I consider not complying with a store managers request being belligerent. I don’t go to SB either and I do know they allow people to loiter but most likely long after they finished their coffee. This was bad all around

I go regularly, they allow u to loiter before & after u purchase. Sometimes people just sit there wait for others, or even have meetings there. The outrage of other patrons implies the 2 did nothing wrong. The manager didn’t want them there, but as a chain that’s unacceptable.
