Amid rising alarm about the personal data companies might be collecting without our knowledge, Google might be as much, if not more, of a concern as Facebookhttps://on.wsj.com/2K3Oxf0

Google has so much of my data at this point, I feel I am owed life advice tailored specifically to me.

That is possible, given the fact that they have a profile on at least everyone who uses the internet.

Western governments did nothing to protect the #democratic system since the beginning of the #internet. This is over 20 years of active inaction, the merit is cyberwar on #humanism and #climate. 😘 Greetings from Germany

It’s a complete non-issue Certainly #SHLD & JCP had similar info. Just didn’t learn how to deliver for consumers.

The NSA is collecting way more than Google or Facebook. You can close your Facebook account. Try closing your NSA account, or even finding out what they've collected.

New rule: if you don't understand a technology and its subsequent impact, please don't write about it. I'm no google fan, but you're missing a vital piece. Google algos draw conclusions from data and they sell those conclusions. Facebook sells access to identities. Not the same

I honestly believe Google has way more, to the finest details of your daily life movement. Never mind private email conversations and knowing what you like and dislike. Google can write a book about you.

Google appears to be way more responsible with it however. As in, they haven’t spilled the data of two billion people... yet.

Google knows every web page you visit (if you use Chrome) in addition to the content of your emails (if you use Gmail) it's terrifying the amount of info they have.

It’s endless and across all industries. And when the data is breached, nothing is done because of weak laws made by politicians who don’t understand tech. Don’t get me started on campaign financing.

Those ads that followed us were weird at first, then the whole thing was annoying. Now, you just want to scream, “Stop following me!”But Mom’s not there to make them cut it out.
