This is also largely the fault of Jeff Immelt who claimed he did not know a spare aircraft followed him around because he was so busy. It was callled a chase plane and it ended in 2014. They still had spare planes on standby. Immelt also brought GE into oil at the top.

And took it out of commercial finance near the bottom. Synchrony financial has nearly doubled since the spinoff.

Its only a loss if he sells it all today. Not to mention his $85k annual pension payment makes up the vast majority of his retirement income anyway. And who retires at 59 with less than $250k saved up?

You might want to read Article 6 of the US Constitution before writing an anti-American statement like that.

They went to bed with Obama, said screw America and moved to China. F*ck 'em. . JP Morgan would be spinning in his grave knowing that Jeff Immelt sold his corporation out over to the communists in China at the advice of a socialist who got elected by hating America. SMFH

"By comparison, the stock value lost by GE in the past 12 months is twice the amount that vanished when Enron Corp. collapse in 2001..." under Trump's admin. Also, who has his and daughter's brand made in China- Trump.

Are you really trying to blame GEs whoas on Trump? The DOW has climbed almost 9000 pts and falled 2000 under his policy/guidance. I feel for these people who didnt move their 401Ks and holdings but thats the nature of the Stock Buisiness ...not the President of the United States.

LOL. I quoted the article you obviously did not read. YOU blamed Pres. Obama and retired auto workers for outsourcing Trump has also done and things that have happened to the company stock during Trump's reign.

He and Ivanka had some of their clothing line made in CHina. He didnt move a multi billion dollar publicly traded company/corporation to China. Please tell me you have the capacity to see the difference.

Thank you acknowledging the facts of Trump's hypocrisy. That is unusual. It says a lot about you that you support him anyway, but as he said, he could shoot someone and not lose a supporter.

Typically, retirees should move away from a stock or stocks and move into more conservative funds, unless they feel comfortable with the drops in market vakue.
