Partial reason: e-logs. Before electronic logging, truckers in the oil fields could lie by using paper logs that were never scrutinized. Now most trucks are required to have elogs. Same job requires more people now, which is actually better. Guys would run for days with no rest

Most of the companies where I was (Odessa, Tx) had a promised weekly minimum of $1,000. So, every extra driver is another $1,000(not including benefits) which means the price of delivering sand, water etc, to oil drilling companies increases.

Gasoline prices rise just as the summer travel season begins 🤔... Is that a coincidence or is it just me thinking crazy?

Russia must be happy. Where does all that sucked out money go? Probably to people who use it to try ensure a steady rise in gas prices by paying politicians in our now blatantly corrupt political system. Welcome to Post-Citizens United America. Have a banana.

Get an electric car, use public transportation, or stay home and commute from the kitchen table. The capitalists will get that in 2014, when oil went up, we didn't have as many options. The Digital Age is not an oil pipeline.

Unfortunately your excellent suggestions won't work for millions of Americans.

All of the fossil fuel haters might turn off their air conditioning, heaters, protest businesses and facilities that keep them on for their comfort. Close all the manufacturing and trucking companies that keep you well supplied because fossil fuel is what makes your life comfy

I thought Saudia Arabia and Russia were in cahoots with oil production, so oil prices would be dropping?
