I am 69 years old and retired in Mexico 11 years ago. I have never felt safer. There are problems, for sure, as there are everywhere. The people are kind and beautiful. Health care is free or very low cost. Meds are a fraction of the US. Millions of US citizens live here.

We aren't afraid and you shouldn't be either. If you don't meddle in drugs, or hang out in sketchy bars, you can live a peaceful life. Just like other places. I live on $800 a month, and live well.
