        The states that feel they need extra protection along the border can use their own troops. If Trump was doing this only while increasing border patrol numbers, that would be fine. This deployment however, is for show, inappropriate, and a gross misuse of the Guard.

        Yeah, no thanks, we're good. We'll take the money that you were going to spend though. Keep it out of your tiny hands where it will be frittered away on private jets, trips to marlago, conference tables, paying off porn stars, etc. Maybe use some of that money for vets??

        As I recall the National Guard in Alabama was federalized and deployed in state when Gov George Wallace was using state trooper to keep blacks out of university. I think that still works, even in the fairyland known as California.
