Fewer people went to the movies last year than at any point in 23 years. That's why theater owners are ripping out their seats and starting over.https://on.wsj.com/2JK9gV6

It’s not the seats that need improvement - it’s the quality of the movies.

Its not the seats, it's the movies that Hollywood is making.

Too many Hollywood elites telling us the man we voted for was a mistake. You're welcome to your views, as are we, to never spend a single penny on your "acting" again

Not the theaters, not the prices, not the food. It is the poor quality of the film product itself and the jackasses in Hollywood.

Maybe I shouldn't have to take out a loan to go to the movies and buy popcorn.

For me it’s the high quality tv’s and sound systems that are available now. I enjoy watching movies more at home. Plus I don’t have strangers coughing and sneezing and talking during the show. Why spend $$$’s for an experience you won’t enjoy.

Not to mention people on their phones. Having a bright light in your face in a dark theater is awesome.

When I went to see The Dark Knight the person next to me started checking their online credit card statements an hour into the movie. Some people just don’t respect films anymore.

@Kenny_Wallace look even the movie theatre has empty seats. You can refer this to the NASCAR haters.

We go see a movie about once a week. I do not mind paying concession prices but it is just two of us. Nothing like a big screen theater experience, with buttered popcorn and a big, ole Coke!

Prices, and 15 minutes of previews and commercials have something to with it. Not to mention, you know, the other thing!

Maybe they should just refuse to show reboots. Force some creativity on the part of the makers. It's not a seat issue.

The seats do matter. Cushioned, reclines, cup holder, and wall so I don't see the rows below me. That's the only way to go.

There's not much in the theaters these days worth paying money to see. Bring back family rated, non PC films with strong morals and values.
