From “pipes” to “fiber,” Mark Zuckerberg’s congressional hearing proved that government officials and tech executives have poor communication.https://on.wsj.com/2Ht6JxE

Yup, filled with "we're working on that", "I'll get back to you on that", "I'll have my team get back to you", "I don't know", all from the millennial seated in the booster seat! I was surprised I didn't hear, "I don't recall"!!

Headline correction: Old farts from last century in Congess have no clue what @facebook is or any other social platform is, don't understand technology. Hearings are for show-only. Hearings about corn subsidies and coal mining jobs to resume shortly. #makefakenewsacrime

Honestly this isn’t as much of an age issue as a preparedness issue — Congress fields questions from complex fields all the time (e.g. financial services, etc) Bigger question is why these members weren’t prepared/briefed to ask better questions.

One thing I thought watching yesterday’s hearing. Well two. Term limits and mandatory retirement age. A vast majority are everything that is wrong with government. Clueless when it comes to technology.

This whole Zuckerberg deal is a fallacy. We know now that Facebook deprived conservatives their opinion

The gap between tech knowledge of congress and this guy is wider than an ocean,as was clearly shown by his testimony yesterday.

It is not all of Congress. It is the old, out of touch Republicans that should have retired years ago. Listening to Grassley drone on about Fox News getting censored was painful. When your news source is caught up in a propaganda scandal, get a new news source.

That's what hearings are for. So they can be informed about a particular issue.

I love how the #CommerceCommittee is all over #Zuckerberg for the #Facebook T&C. But not one person in #Congress has read the US Federal Budget, but they all voted for it.
