Nobody in the US has any authority to initiate military aggression against sovereign countries.

The president can for a limited period, after that period he has to get an act of Congress to continue. Obama did this before.

I understood that, my aim was to point out how ridiculous it is to think a military attack on another country becomes "legal" just because you follow domestical rules. Do you think Hitler violated any German procedures when he issued the command to attack Poland?

To each his own I guess. It’s not the concept of what’s legal, war will never be agreed on for both sides. It’s a gruesome part of human nature.

But would you agree that an attack that precedes any fact-finding from @OPCW on-site would be premature?

Personally, yes it would. But nobody knew for sure that nazis had concentration camps and were commiting genocide until after the evidence. Syria had been known to use gas. Syria also has helped Russia for decades.

A word of a terrorist and a war criminal is not enough to describe Putin and Bashar al-Assad, who have killed more than 1 million children and women under the pretext of fighting terrorism and who support and feed Iranian terrorism.
