Behind the suspected Syrian chemical attack: a brutal calculation by Assad that the battlefield gains will outweigh retaliatory strikes.https://on.wsj.com/2GMOhTG

They already began evacuating Jaysh al Islam from Douma when that happened. They liberated the entire province in two month. Please explain how and why one would provoke the outrage of the entire world to gain what, a few hours in the battle with battered and weakened islamists?

And while we're at it, how come the version of a deliberate provocation (however "conspiracy theoretical") by the extremely radicalised foreign islamists is even *mentioned*? Motive: US invasion. Means: makeshift chem labs, past cases. Capabilites: hostages under jihadi control.

Some of the "rebel" fighters are not even Syrian, so they don't relate to them as 'neighbors'. Some are radical islamists, so they don't relate to them as 'faithful'. Some are paid mercenaries who don't care about morals if they are in the way of their goal. They CAN kill ppl.

All in all, the automatic blame game against Asad, Russia and Iran, who do not have any reason, motive or incentive to do this besides 'comic-book villain logic' suggested by the West, is extremely one-sided. The actual motives of a losing, desperate party are blatantly ignored.

You want us to believe that a guy who is working very hard to improve his image, a guy that wants a return to normalcy, a guy who just won the war, to wake up one day and be like “ hey let’s drop some chemical weapons on children and women in Douma for the sake of it”!!!! pic.twitter.com/0fQO3ASw5w

Sounds like crazy talk. Assad are on a winning streak. He can only loose by using chemical weapons. Makes no sense.

So far, he's right. Sadly, hitting an almost empty airbase with some Iranian mercenaries....hit by Israel.... Where's the pain? None for ASSad or Putin‼️ @potus

LIES. the reconciliation process works, tens of thousand in the ghouta only, but not with the worse jihadists the US propaganda machine is siding with after their staged chemical attack. Shame. WSJ criminals.
