Fewer people went to the movies last year than at any point in 23 years. That's why theater owners are ripping out their seats and starting over.https://on.wsj.com/2GOlfTW

Hint: It ain’t the chairs we are avoiding. It’s the propaganda on the screen.

$100 bucks for a family of 4 for tickets, popcorn and some candy might be part of the problem!

You'd think Hollywood would make movies that don't suck, but OK.

Theaters not problem. Sick of movie stars telling us how we should live then make millions on doing the opposite on screen!

Maybe you should d-bag. If you can't see the correlation with streaming services and movie theater decline your not as smart as you think you are. You can wait 2 or 3 months and see movie for fraction of cost. Simple math.

Most movies are for morons, disrespect ordinary people. Movie Stars should keep the mouths shut as when they open them you realize acting has no correlation with intelligence. Lastly entirely too expensive. Otherwise movies are OKAY.

They should save their money. I wouldn't watch the swill that passes for movies these days if I could do it from the comfort of my own bed.

Seats a big improvement, but I think its a number of issues. a) less discretionary income everywhere; b) less big hits out that make one WANT to see it in big screen...to name a few @AMCTheatres

Theaters just cost too much where I come from for two people to go to a movie is $50 that's when I can just wait and rent it on DVD and view it with my whole family for $20 in Comfort on a much nicer TV screen
