Why doesn't California simply impose stricter requirements in its state, instead of trying to force all of us to capitulate to its local environmental problems? The rest of the nation isn't like LA, y'know?

I wouldn't call it clickbait - California seems to think it can just use frivolous lawsuits to stop the President and his administration from accomplishing anything. That isn't going to last.

That's what the courts are for - it's one thing to de-regulate - it's a whole different thing to purposefully damage American's health and our National Lands because you didn't like a past president or to help corporate donors.

Too bad California doesn’t have a leg to stand on in challenging federal standards that weren’t passed into law. They are however free to enforce a higher standard within the state

The Federal government cannot "preempt the field" of a matter HISTORICALLY REGULATED by the STATES, much less in a way that MATERIALLY DIMINISHES HEALTH STANDARDS. That doesn't make logical sense or comport with PRECEDENT. See, e.g., Printz v. United States (1997) 521 U.S. 898

The State of CA should challenge the Trump Administration's decision of two separation grounds: first, it VIOLATES the Administrative Procedures Act and, above all, it CONTRAVENES CA's Tenth Amendment RIGHTS to REGULATE its OWN Health & Morals. Think about it.

CA should challenge EPA on auto tires that kill, maim, sicken, pollute and promote Climate Change around the clock (for 100 years)!
