Opinion: Martin Luther King Jr. tried to instill in people the importance of personal responsibility notwithstanding racial barriers, his counterparts today spend more time making excuses for counterproductive behavior, writes @JasonRileyWSJhttps://on.wsj.com/2EqAZ9f

You should move to a communist or socialist country, then. Go ahead, pick one. I dare you.

This statement is misconscrewed and its being marketed for purposes of not taking responsibility for racist actions and murders. He/ they/ we discovered that opening doors was not the answer as hate ruled and would never allow our inclusion in American life.

Finally may be seeing a change in leadership. Black folks have been led astray by greedy, lying foolish liberals.

Quotes are not a good way to learn about a philosophy. You should read his entire species.

Species?? With all due respect, his speeches are pretty clear... http://www.thekingcenter.org/archive/document/mlk-address-racial-injustice-poverty-and-war …

That is what I meant. I think reading his entire speeches is more respectful than just reading a few quotes. You aren't going to learn that much by reading truisms but will learn something by reading one of his speeches.

Thankfully, we have a president who is the embodiment of personal responsibility, who never blames anyone else but himself. The buck stops with him.

Maybe all of whatever ethnicity, color, background, etc just take ownership of own conduct as they work their way through life. Take the falls & scrapes as learning process & look to better life's circumstances. Look for , and embrace the good & not the bad as we all have both.
