If you think the 2nd Amendment was written for anything other than giving the people the right to weapons on par with the military then you are wrong. It was written specifically to protect the military grade weapons born by the citizens in their defense from the government.

Where and how do you draw the line? I’m a 2A supporter but I struggle with where a line should be drawn and why there and not somewhere else. The military has nukes. Should everyone have nukes? How about automatic weapons, chemical weapons, etc?

Good step in the right direction. Congress must pass strict gun control laws. #NeverAgain #MarchForOurLives #TownHallForOurLives #THFOL 💙🧡💜💛💚

and the Bill of Rights says shall not be infringed. The 2A isn't a license to murder, but the ability to defend against those who would do harm.

Agreed. You do not need an AR 15 to hunt deer. Just basic, common sense laws please. There needs to be a bi-partisan discussion to get things done and still protect 2nd amendment rights.

You don’t need social media to convey your first amendment rights so the government should restrict that too. Starting to see the slippery slope when we let a judge decide what societ can and can’t have?

If not a Federal judge, then who? It’s their job to interrupt and apply the laws of the country. The highest human judge is the Supreme Court. The ultimate judge of our actions is God.

The People obviously! You want to ban guns, then call a constitutional convention, get 2/3rds of the states to repeal the second amendment. This country has never appealed an amendment that is part of the Bill of Rights, but if that’s what you want good luck.

JC, don’t recall saying I wanted 2 ban guns. Again, u are missing the point. The constitution gives us the right 2 bear arms for protection but says nothing about common sense laws such as comprehensive background checks. Nor does it say we can have any gun we wish. Common sense.

It's looking like the SCOTUS can no longer refuse to hear these cases. This is what happens when you kick the can down the road. Rights get trampled.
