That's actually good. People should give FB a chance to correct things progressively without putting themselves in a position where they will regret what they have wished for . You can't expect to be on a winning side of Democracy by giving FB all rights to opinion censorship.

Look when terrorists do some bad things, you will have leaders do the smart thing. They do not let themselves paralyzed by the act of evil. In event of Facebook being abused by bad guys , why shouldn't the same principle apply?

The same exact people pushing Facebook to rushed censorship are ignoring that this kind of knife cut both sides. There is something to win and to lose in long term. Specifically when this politic animosity ends, it will be irreversible. Why people are just thinking about now?

The kind of changes some people are asking Facebook would require the company to change its DNA,that requires time. If they ask it to do things in hash, FB will end up being an uncontrollable winner, its abusers will win too as they force us to give up on our 1st amendment.

I do not see how even Facebook will be useful for uncle Sam either,in even it is made to be perceived in anyway as a company that holds that much power. It will frustrate a lot of people as a result people will turn their fb pages into platform for fakeselves.

Zuckerberg needs to be given time to fix his platform without being given a consequenceless authority to break the 1st amendment by acquiring uncontrollable power of censorship. It's Congress' job to create an oversight mechanism. It cannot leave us to have the mercy of Facebook.

Hopefully Congress has a recipe for this issue the day that Zuckerberg will testify to announce to people, it is unbelievable that people aren't wondering how will they grab from Facebook the same rights they're forcing it to have today. This political situation will pass!

Better late than never. Facebook could have saved themselves a lot grief if they done this earlier. Not sure it is going to save them now.
