Kill emission standards on US-made cars while raising them on foreign ones? This is the most ass-backwards way of promoting vehicles that are more environmentally friendly EVER.

This strategy could backfire (as far as the Administration is concerned) if the American people turn out to WANT efficient cars. Unless US automakers are smart enough not to take advantage of the relaxed emissions standards.

There are no more America & foreign made cars. Most “foreign” cars are made w/USA made parts, assembled here by Americans. #AllCarsMadeinUSAareAmericanMade

Brilliant. So, instead of buying a new Audi, I will buy a Chevy. Well, one of the Chevys built in America. Right. Or, I can pay a large excise tax on the Audi? I think maybe I just won’t buy anything. This administration is the dumbest group of humans ever assembled.

WSJ I could not tell from the article, are you saying EPA will roll back emissions and mileage standards for US manufactured cars but raise them for cars imported to the US from other countries? How does that work?
