I called and emailed Apple and told them it had better come off my phone because I was going to sue them. They have no right to force us to choose this. Eventually the dot went away.

A red dot on your phone is not forcing you to do anything. You can actually get rid of it in your settings, or, I don’t know, ignore it. Also, Apple Pay is awesome and safer to use than your credit card. You’re missing out.
-
The funniest thing is they think that their threat to sue made it go away.
-
Threatening to sue because you’re annoyed at a red dot reminder on your phone is the perfect example of how ridiculous people have become.

Press the red badge hit setup then hit cancel it goes away simple. This isn’t a story.

Android allows app makers to interrupt use with ads now too. It all sucks but no one is talking about what makes an app free and if it is free how do developers make money. Selling your info thats how. Much more important story.

You can use Android phone instead of iPhone.

Then you won’t ever have to deal with those pesky OS updates

In the same way that
@wsj keeps nagging users to fill out profiles, despite declining many times. Doesn't justify@apple#pay reminders, of course.pic.twitter.com/SHosgXDWCG

So people are expected to trust Apple with their sensitive information? With everything that's happened, I wouldn't trust them with my real email.
-
They don’t have any info. It’s all on device. It’s the safest thing imaginable. No real numbers ever used. Nothing leaves the phone but yes or no.

Wrong. Just click to sign up and then click cancel. It will go away. Counterintuitive but it works.
