Here's a challenging thought. What if a person followed Jesus, but chose to look for the evidence that God existed and confirm there's a god when there's proof? Can a person be a Christian without beleiving in the God of the Jews? or any God?

Not going to subscribe to read, but seems it would be like any other day. Of course as a Christian I find it to be a beauty filled God-given day of hope.

WSJ also has an interesting article the Easter Effect that provides some historical prospective. The Lord has Risen on this Day..I respect all opinions but my faith is not deterred. Anecdotal pot shots are of little import or comic importance

Ricky Gervaise only serves to speak the sentiments of evil. He is allowing the Devil to speak through him with this rhetoric.

Can’t understand Atheism. I get Agnostic, but how can you walk around this earth, see all of the beautifully unique people, the landscape, and all of earth’s creatures coexisting....how can all this be possible with out some higher power?

If you hadn't grown up being told about the existence of a good that created these things, would you still feel the same way? Would you walk around admiring the beautiful world and assume that a "higher power" created it?

Yes...I think so. Ever year I go into the deep woods for a week and every time I come out amazed with the limitless detailed design. Above and beyond the incredible functioning of our bodies, the intricacy of nature sells me on a great power.

However, your point is valid...if not programmed to believe early on, where would I start? Certainly not where organized religion has taken us, but probably more on line with the Buddhist philosophies. Great question though!

CS Lewis debunked the whole “Jesus wasn’t divine, but his words were wise” nonsense. He literally claimed repeatedly and forcefully to be the Messiah, God incarnate. Either he was insane for making such a claim, or he was what he claimed to be. Can’t have it both ways.

Still had other great messages, regarding love and compassion, etc. They aren't negated by his insane ramblings, I wouldn't think
