beautiful city untouched by the devastation of ww2. in poland, you have no worries as they are one of the only countries in europe who does not let immigrants into their country.

There were 2 extermination camps nearby in WW2. They were very much touched by the war. A whole population was removed. How many Jews are left? And they keep others who are seeking safety out? Nice folks.

The pollution during the winter is sky high (at the most polluted Indian or Chinese cities level) and this is a huge downside. For the rest, I can tell this is true after 3 years living in the city

Probably last one US ally in EU. Also well known as highly anti-semitic or nazis state.

More like, tried to be portrayed that way :/ % of antisemitic people doesn't vary from other countries in the region and we definitely have way less antisemitic incidents than in Western Europe.

Last mass marches in Warsaw were very convincing. Sadly.

I know, I was pissed about that as well, it should never happen that a group of ultra-radical scum like them can so easily get to be the face of such mass of people. Many of whom were my friends and I know they're definitely not neo-nazis.

Though I realize that they do grow in numbers lately, and not only in Poland, but everywhere. Thing I worry the most is to what extent is my government willing to oppose them.

Poland's sliding quickly into Christo-fascist dictatorship. Best avoided.

Catholics are the problem in that part of the world. Just look what they're trying to do to the abortion laws...https://www.reuters.com/article/us-poland-abortion/thousands-join-black-friday-marches-against-polish-abortion-restrictions-idUSKBN1GZ2LP …

Yes, jailing women for having abortions points to the pernicious influence the Catholic Church is having on Poland. Pity. For a while there it seemed Poland could become a good European citizen.
