In @facebook they should study Don Norman’s works on how software can help correct human cognitive deficiencies and errors. Something like that bundled with a comprehensive tool that lets the user optimize the algorithm’s news feed preferences, may help them get back in the game.

@facebook, despite its recent wobbles, still controls the social graph. Until that changes they can do whatever they please. Businesses that stake their livelihoods on FB's platform are just silly. No different than people who rely soley on search. -
I am just talking about what Facebook can do to improve their news feed. But let me speak in your terms; Their current situation business wise is total uncertainty. This is far worst than losing their entire social graph. No one knows what is next, that is the story here.

Every business decision is always aimed for high predictability of results. This is why they micro-target advertising; to eliminate uncertainty of a high rate of revenue. So
@facebook is right now suffering allot. Not because is losing money, but because their future is uncertain -
You have to say what makes it's future uncertain. The probability of certainty is greater than uncertainty from my analysis. This is based largely on how much we've all digitized our lives and FB biz model fits this paradigm. 1/2
