Hundreds of thousands of students and others are gathering across the U.S., demanding action on guns: 'I’m tired of living in fear.' https://on.wsj.com/2pCCziZ pic.twitter.com/I2EJMSa0CE

Long before there were AR-15's, there was the worst school massacre in American history which illustrates the lost cause nature of banning firearms. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster …

The AR-15 has been on the civilian market for 53 years (since 1964), and AR-15 pattern rifles made by companies other than Colt have been for 40 years. Sales of the AR-15 to civilians even predates background checks (Gun Control Act of 1968).

So you are saying they are not old enough to own a gun, but they are old enough to tell you if you should own a gun?

It has become my very sad duty to inform these kids that even if ALL guns could be made to magically vanish, there are still some very nasty people in the world who don't obey laws. #SorryYouHadToHearThatFromMe

I don't ever remember being this young. Even as a kid, I realized that bad guys don't pay the slightest attention to gun laws. #Detroit does that to you, I guess.

Removing the NRA would further remove any reasoned dialogue from the public square. The appeal to emotion seems to have lost its effectiveness although there are some who can be swayed to further abandon our Constitution.

The odds of getting shot are like a tenth of a tenth of a percent, even with 7 grand kids. America is safer now than it was when she was a teenager.

6 months and $10,000 minimum mandatory sentences if they let their brat kids get their guns to commit crimes. It’s not the gov’t taking your guns, it’s ur neighbors punishing adults.
