There have been 17 and counting pedestrian deaths in the Phoenix are this year. Some pedestrians don’t even try to obey traffic laws. They are just as much to blame. Full disclosure I don’t drive and follow 95% of traffic rules pertaining to traffic rules.pic.twitter.com/WwIDGColPa

Don’t let the democrats find out or we won’t hear the end of how walking to work needs to be regulated.

Tempe, where the Uber accident occurred, & all of the Phoenix area is not pedestrian friendly. Sidewalks are directly adjacent to streets which are 5 lanes wide, no pedestrian malls, cities are too spread out. If we designed cities more for people than cars it would help. A lot.

Even in one of the most ped friendly cities, nyc, ped fatalities are too high. When you have cities that are hostile to peds and favor cars this happens. Also this:https://www.citylab.com/equity/2014/10/the-outrageous-unjust-rule-that-lets-new-york-drivers-who-hit-pedestrians-off-the-hook/380980/ …
