That is the outcome of a tariff. Maybe you should do some reading.

I have. Literally you are wrong :p look up the tariffs in the 60's and the ones after in the 80's. Pay very close attention to our economy

Ah, the classic "Google it". Tariffs are passed on to consumers. 100% fact. There is nothing for me to prove, it's economic principle at its most basic level.

Retailers will pass tariffs onto consumers. US doesn’t have the capacity to just start producing everything nor will companies want to build plants when operating ones already exist. Billions, labor shortages...

That's only about $180.00 in increased prices at the cash register for every man, woman, and child in the country. But don't worry, once China retaliates with their own increased tariffs, the job losses here will mean that people won't have any money to buy stuff anyhow.

It is a due course of trade. The export subsidies are given to the Chinese exporters. So they can produce exportable in cheap price and can offer it to the international market in an imperfectly competitive http://price.So  the American industry is affected heavily. contd.

As the price of exportables are much cheaper than the domestic industry price. Which is to be considered as a case of dumping. And in WTO law it has been clearly stated that if a country dumps to another country then the importer country should take the anti dumping measures.

And an anti dumping measure the country can impose tariff on importables. That is exactly done in case of China by America. Case of unfair trade practices..
