Opinion: The left has abandoned the idea that abortion is a personal choice and now regards it a self-evident right that everyone must subsidizehttp://on.wsj.com/2FZ4YHf

If we don't want to subsidize health care procedures for people who can't afford them we should work to reign in health care costs.

Replace “abortion” with “comprehensive healthcare coverage and all associated legal medical procedures” and you’re getting warmer.

Twisting words. Democrats want subsidized health care. I'm all for it. Elective abortions should be treated as elective surgery where the co pay is higher for that person, but necessary abortions for health reasons should be covered.

I don’t get this debate. Maybe I’m insensitive but this really isn’t a big deal. If a woman wants an abortion, let her do it safely. You can be a religious pro-lifer all you want to your own kids. If she doesn’t want the baby, don’t shame her for ‘not keeping her legs closed’.

That's disingenuous WSJ. Case in SCOTUS is basically regarding the ability of 'reproductive planning clinics' to lie or mislead (often young and scared) patients. Again-- you don't want to pay for the procedure buy your own Cialis!

No they don’t. The right just thinks women line up to get that there abortion for the hell of it. Just because it’s the GOP way of making “little problems disappear” doesn’t mean the woman isn’t affected and what a tough decision it is in the first place.

Respect for life continues to devolve. The timeline and correlation between the acceptance of stopping a beating heart and the breakdown of society is irrefutable.

You do not see over the last 40 plus years a correlation with disrespect for life with the evolution of the acceptance of stopping a heartbeat? Pregnant? It’s just tissue...end it. Here take Plan B over the counter no matter your age...your parents don’t need to know......

Exactly. You are part of a society that has been desensitized to it. That’s the goal.
