That is "summer edition" kinder egg. When temperatures are high, classical kinder gets too soft and they start selling the "plastic" one.

It can be the case, but it varies from country to country, maybe even at a city level, based on the distributor. For example, I recall that in
#Romania we used to only have the "summer edition", even in winter. My main point is that it's not a new, innovative product.
