I'm not an expert on these things but this seems like a great way for the Trump administration to open themselves up to a very embarrassing, public lawsuit. That's especially true given how they've been going after McCabe for months.

It's petty, stupid, and completely absurd given the amount of corruption in the current administration. If they're going to hold themselves to the same standard, by all means, go for it. Otherwise, it's hypocritical and an avoidable self-inflicted wound. It's politically stupid.

The man is retiring & the only thing this does is effect the man's pension, something he works for & rightly deserves. Sessions is a disgrace human being.

Incomplete headline. Real headline: FBI disciplinary process based on IG report recommended McCabe’s termination. He's set to retire Sunday, will receive his pension unless @jeffsession chooses to #FireMcCabe before then.

The Inspector General report will show McCabe leaked to the media but it was an ANTI-CLINTON article. 😂 So much for the DERP STATE CONSPIRACY MAGAtshttps://twitter.com/peterbakernyt/status/969425989829890048 …

FBI's McCabe, who has been under withering fire from the president, is expected to be faulted by the inspector general for media leaks -- but for an article critical of the Clintons and Obama's Justice Department, not Trump. @mattapuzzo @adamgoldmanNYT https://nyti.ms/2tc5mjM

The man is a career civil servant who got caught up in this admin's corruption; what an inhumane "recommendation." Only good thing about this article is that it brought so many unhappy, mean-spirited Twitter users (+ bots) to the forefront so they can be efficiently blocked.

Can we count the ways that Jeff Sessions lied, misled, omitted during his confirmation hearings??? No that would be tough — so here is a possibility — Sessions fires McCabe (which gives Drumpf wood) & Drumpf fires Sessions for improperly firing McCabe.
