This is partially because the Swiss fail to deliver value for cost. Im in my mid 20s. I DID buy a watch to celebrate my first professional success. I just bought it from @OrientWatchUSA for a fraction of what a comparable Swiss would go for.

It was a Mako USA dive watch, btw. A beautiful and practical little device that launched me into watch collecting in general. I'm planning on buying one of their Bambino Small Seconds to celebrate an upcoming work anniversary.

Patience will weather the storm. Millennials are paying absurd prices for turntables and vinyl today. This Gen-X'er is hoarding his CDs to sell to the iGeneration / Post-Millenials.

We're still buying watches. Just instead of a $3000 swiss watch, we buy a $30 chinese replica. They're just as nice to look at without any fear of accidentally smashing it.
